Positive Behaviour Support
Behaviour is communication. Positive Behaviour Support helps us understand what’s behind behaviours of concern and respond in ways that genuinely improve a person’s quality of life — building skills, reducing distress, and creating positive, lasting change.
Our practitioners work closely with you, your family and your support team to develop a personalised, evidence-based plan. The focus is always on dignity and understanding — not simply managing behaviour, but
What is Positive Behaviour Support?
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based, person-centred approach to understanding and supporting people who display behaviours of concern. A behaviour support practitioner assesses the person’s needs and develops a Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) strategies that improve quality of life and reduce the need for restrictive practices over time. As a registered NDIS provider with suitable practitioners, we deliver this in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s standards.

FAQ
How does Positive Behaviour Support work?
Answers to the questions participants and families ask us most about behaviour support.

The aim of PBS is to improve quality of life and reduce the need for restrictive practices over time. Where any regulated restrictive practices are involved, they're handled strictly in line with NDIS Commission requirements, including proper authorisation and reporting.
PBS focuses on lasting change rather than quick fixes. We set clear goals, review regularly, and adjust the plan as the person grows and their needs change.
Yes — it's funded as a specialist capacity-building support. As a registered NDIS provider, we'll help you understand how it fits within your plan.
