Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Supported Independent Living is about helping you live as independently as possible, in a home that feels like your own. Our team provides the day-to-day support you need, at the level you need it so you can build skills, make your own choices, and live life on your terms.
Whether you share a home with others or live on your own, our skilled support workers are there to help with everyday tasks, personal care and supervision including overnight and 24/7 support where it’s needed. We focus on what you can do, and support the rest with patience and respect.
What is Supported Independent Living?
SIL is an NDIS-funded support for people who need a higher level of help with daily life. It covers the assistance and supervision provided inside your home, things like cooking, cleaning, personal care, medication support, and building everyday living skills.

How can we help with SIL?

SIL suits participants who need regular or ongoing support with everyday tasks often a higher level of support, including help during the day and overnight. Not sure if it's right for you? Talk to us and we'll help you work it out.
No — SIL funds the support you receive in your home, not the rent or board for the property. Housing is usually covered separately (for example through your income, or SDA if you're eligible). We'll explain exactly how it all fits together.
Yes. We provide support at the level you need from a few hours of help each day to active overnight and around-the-clock care.
SIL is funded as a core support for participants with higher support needs. As a registered provider, we can help you understand the process and prepare for your planning conversation with the NDIS.
